Abandonware DOS in 2022: more games, more everything

Hello everyone! Another year has passed and Abandonware DOS is still here. Well, there are no reasons for this site to disappear in the vastness of the forgotten internet. I intend to go on, to endure and add more games and more content, in time.

Unfortunately, server costs just went up. And I mean really UP: five times what I used to pay. I'm looking for other ways to host all of it, but I'm confident I'll find a way to pay a little less. That said, I'm really grateful to all of you who donated a few dollars to help me go on. I'm still managing Abandonware DOS by myself in my spare time (and I do have a full time job) but I'm not whining: I like to do it.

Here's a list of what I did on Abandonware DOS in 2022.

Added A LOT of DOS games (obviously)
Added a few games for Linux
Added more than a few games for Macintosh
Started an Instagram profile
Transcribed a lots of reviews taken from old video games magazines
Re-designed the keyword-related pages and reviewed almost every theme and keyword: more descriptions, more games, more of everything
Rewrote the code for the charts and the voting system
Rewrote the code for everything concerning keywords

And here's a list of things I'm planning to do sooner or later:

A code rewrite of the whole website: I want to upgrade everything to PHP 7
Find a way to create an "advanced search" feature
Change host as soon as possible and find new ways to host games
