PC Format (1995): "Age reallly hasn't been kind to Kyrandia. The graphics just about hold their own, and the point-and-click system is as friendly as ever. It's the less than inspired plotting which has withered with time, making this tale of magic, fantasy characters and slight jokes just a little too tiresome. Not a zit on the face of PC adventuring as such, but no doozy either."

There are different versions of the original Legend of Kyrandia. One version has slightly different dialogue, there is swearing and some light adult humour.

Played this on an old Gateway 2000. Got the game as a Christmas present one year and loved it.

I played this game when it came out in 1992 I believe it was. Became my number one Dos game at that time. Revisited and played this game a number of times. Loved the puzzle solving challenges. To me the game was well designed, had great game play. Loved what I called the fire caves, I had to make my own map because one wrong turn then yep there was a dead end waiting. Collecting the required gems then using them at the right time. Couldn't wait for book two to come out.
