The sequel nobody expected but everyone button-mashed through. Yie Ar Kung Fu 2 adds more characters, more chaos, and less coherence. This time you’re Lee (no relation to Bruce, allegedly), battling an army of themed fighters across scrolling landscapes. There’s a guy with fireballs, a woman with scarves, and a few who seem to just exist to ruin your day. The animation is faster, the difficulty brutal, and the soundtrack could power a rave if looped long enough. It’s not balanced, but it is bizarrely fun.
