Game company profile: Capstone Software
Capstone Software was a video game publisher active primarily in the late 1980s and early to mid-1990s. It was a division of IntraCorp, a now-defunct company that handled both publishing and development. Capstone was based in Miami, Florida, and it became known for releasing a variety of PC games, many of which were based on licensed properties.
Capstone gained a bit of a reputation for releasing games that were critically panned, such as: William Shatner's TekWar (based on the sci-fi book series by William Shatner) or Homey D. Clown (based on the In Living Color sketch comedy character).
Capstone's parent company, IntraCorp, filed for bankruptcy in 1996, leading to Capstone's closure. Many of their games have since become hard to find.
