Sensible Software

Sensible Software, a British video game development company, was founded in 1986 by Jon Hare and Chris Yates. The company became well-known for its quirky humor and innovative gameplay, making a significant mark on the video game industry, particularly in the 1990s.

Their game "Sensible Soccer" released in 1992, was celebrated for its fast-paced, arcade-style gameplay and unique top-down view. It quickly became one of the most popular and critically acclaimed soccer games of its time, leading to numerous sequels.

Despite their success, Sensible Software struggled in the late 1990s as the industry shifted towards 3D graphics and more complex game designs. The company was acquired by Codemasters in 1999.
