Datasoft

Datasoft was a software publisher and developer that operated primarily during the 1980s and early 1990s, known for producing a variety of games for home computers and video game consoles. Founded in 1980 by Pat Ketchum, it was based in Chatsworth, California.

Datasoft was notable for its diverse catalog, which included games for platforms like the Atari 8-bit family, Commodore 64, Apple II, and later, IBM PC compatibles and other platforms. They published a mix of original titles and licensed conversions of arcade games.

While Datasoft experienced success with several of its titles, it faced financial difficulties in the late 1980s due to changing market conditions and increased competition. The company eventually ceased operations in the early 1990s.
